Lovely home cooked food, always really good quality, no matter how busy. Possibly the nicest breakfast I’ve had. Keeps me coming back most weeks!

Really lovely family-run spot for a casual breakfast/lunch/cake n' coffee! Always an amazing smell wafting out of the kitchen from the homemade food, and the large tables and relaxed atmosphere make it a great place to sit down to get some work done on weekdays.

We visited here for a full english breakfast and coffee. It was all well cooked and piping hot. The produce used was high quality, especially the sausages. The staff were friendly and polite. The cafe is a child friendly environment, with lots of books and some toys for children to play with which I thought was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning.

Visited the Priory Cafe on Saturday afternoon just for a coffee and a scone. Service was excellent as usual despite only working on 3 members of staff. I've never not had good service or issues with my refreshments. On the odd occasion I've had to wait 20 minutes or so for food but that has happened in when visiting other establishments too. There's always a good atmosphere with a good collective mix of music being played in the background. With regards to the comments and rating left by the previous gentleman, errors do happen. The young female apologised for your wait and you were giving a full refund in cash so your party of 3 ended up with free drinks and cake. You failed to mention that in your comments. Also the gentleman with his back to us didn't make any attempt to move his chair to allow my 87 year old disabled Mother to pass. Funny how none of your party apologised for that!!! Well done to the young female for being professional with such an arrogant man.

This place is a hidden gem. We went all along the high street in Tynemouth trying to find somewhere that had not recently been done up and was not too extortionate and eventually came across this place round a side street. FANTASTIC! Excellent food; great atmosphere and decor; a huge pot of tea for two and great vegetarian all day breakfasts. To cap it all off ... this was on a Sunday!
